Baby Sulcata at Babies

Baby Sulcata. Generally, they require the same care as adult sulcata, but you need to provide extra care because they are fragile and protect them from predators. Eventually, most sulcatas end up being moved to an outdoor enclosure.

We do recommend the well started babies over the ivory sulcata tortoise hatchlings, as they are much more active and easier to care for but still are very small and cute. I was told it’s about 6 months old and it measures about 4 inches long.

Generally, they require the same care as adult sulcata, but you need to provide extra care because they are fragile and protect them from predators. As your baby grows with proper care a sulcata hatchling will quickly outgrow its original enclosure and will need larger amounts of salad every month. Baby sulcata tortoises are fairly easy to care for. Substrates give your baby tortoise something to dig into as is natural for them.
